Background:

In his book Jeg har set det samme ansigt overalt Francois Zimeray gives a glimpse of some of his observations of inhuman cruelties during his assignment as Human Rights Ambassador (2008-2013) for France in some of the world’s worst burning points, such as Rwanda, Burma, Colombia, Libya, Chechnya and Congo.

The book is an attempt to point out the difficult circumstances of human rights ma ny places in the world and a fight against indifference and oblivion. A fight that the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has just bolstered by launching its largest extra-budgetary funds to date for its 2017 work programme to protect and advance the rights of people around the world.
